‘AMMA gets GST notice, directs to pay tax on income received from stage shows

KOCHI: The Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) has received a GST notice. The notice has directed to pay GST on income obtained from stage shows. GST from 2017 has to be paid. The association is registered in the name of a charitable institution. However, GST has to be paid if income has been obtained.

The office bearers of AMMA informed a reply to the notice will be given to the concerned soon.
