KOZHIKODE: Malayalees cannot forget Arjun, the lorry driver from Kozhikode who died in the Shiroor landslide in Karnataka. The lorry and his body were recovered from the bottom of the Gangavali river after a mission that lasted more than two months in Shiroor. That view was painful not only for Arjun's family but for the entire people of Kerala.

Manjeswaram MLA A K M Ashraf intervened with the Karnataka government to find Arjun. The MLA is now going to write a book about that mission. Ashraf came forward with an emotional Facebook post on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Shiroor tragedy that claimed Arjun's life. The MLA also mentioned in the Facebook post that he visited Arjun's house the other day and met his family.

He is writing a book about the 71 unforgettable days. The MLA also penned that he is taking up this mission with the consent of Arjun's mother, who loves writing and reading. He ended his post saying that Arjun's memories will never die.
