NEW DELHI: Kasaragod MP Rajmohan Unnithan came forward attacking Shashi Tharoor MP, who has differences of opinion with the Congress party. Unnithan publicly criticized Tharoor for attending the parliamentary party meeting.
Unnithan alleged that Tharoor's presence would threaten the confidentiality of the meeting and that there is a possibility of leaking information to the BJP. He opined that Tharoor should have the guts to attend the meeting.
Unnithan questioned Tharoor's commitment to the Congress party. If he is reluctant to continue in the party, he should resign and leave. Everyone wants that. However, Unnithan clarified that the party will not take the initiative and expel him.
Unnithan also clarified that he expects the high command to take action against Tharoor's statements for tarnishing the Congress leadership.
