CPM to take up issues with Governor at national level, Yechury to meet other party leaders

NEW DELHI: The CPM Central Committee meeting has decided to face the Kerala Governor's moves against the state government at the national level CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury will hold discussions with leaders of political parties other than BJP regarding this.

The CPM has decided to discuss the issue at the national level, with governors interfering in states other than Kerala which are run by non-BJP governments. During the central committee meeting, Available PB also met and discussed the issue. The central committee meeting will continue today and an official decision will be taken in this regard today. Today's Central Committee meeting will also decide on the inclusion of State Secretary MV Govindan in polit buro.

Kerala Governor Arif Muhammed Khan said that he demanded the resignation of 11 Vice chancellors on the basis of Supreme court verdict. He added that it is his responsibility to ensure that the verdict is being implemented. The Governor also stated that he is ready to correct himself if he is wrong.

Kannur VC Gopinath Ravindran has responded to Governor’s letter. ‘Received the letter, thank you’, this was his reply. The Governor has not asked for an explanation in his letter, so such a reply was given stated Kannur VC.
