KOCHI: VD Satheesan's response to K Sudhakaran, who criticized him for eating Onasadya with the Chief Minister. The opposition leader said that he is not above criticism and that he can be criticized by senior leaders and regular workers. "K Sudhakaran is a senior leader and a member of the Congress Working Committee. I have no hatred, malice or enmity towards what he said," the opposition leader said.

"They have complete freedom to criticize me. However, it is they themselves who should decide where to say it and how to say it. I have no complaints," Satheesan added. K Sudhakaran had said that it was inappropriate for the opposition leader to have dinner with the Chief Minister on the day the video of the Youth Congress leader being beaten up came out. He had also said that if he were in Satheesan's position, he would not have done that.

VD Satheesan said that the party had taken a decision with full conviction after considering the allegations against Rahul Mamkootathil. He added that he was taking responsibility for it. VD Satheesan was responding to a question 'Aren't Senior Congress leaders, including women leaders, are facing severe cyber attacks over the party's action against the Palakkad MLA?" He also said that he would not back down from the collective decision.
