Pinarayi Vijayan will contest: Agreement reached at PB meeting, clarifies CPM General Secretary

NEW DELHI: CPM General Secretary M.A. Baby has said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will contest the assembly elections. The Chief Minister will lead the election campaign. The decision will be taken at the PB meeting. The list of candidates will be released in the first week of March. M.A. Baby said that the LDF government will continue in Kerala. He was talking to the media after the Politburo meeting.

"The Chief Ministerial candidate is not announced anywhere. An agreement on who else will contest will soon be reached. Detailed discussions will be held soon and a decision will be made within five days. The criteria will be reviewed," MA Baby clarified. It is reported that Pinarayi Vijayan will contest from Dharmadam itself.
