THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan alleged that the LDF has issued a communal statement against UDF candidate Fatima Tahlia in Perambra, mirroring the "Kafir screenshot" tactic used in Vadakara. He claimed these materials were circulated with the full knowledge of responsible CPM leaders during the Lok Sabha elections and urged the Election Commission to take immediate, strict action against those attempting to incite communalism.
Satheesan further criticised the Pinarayi Vijayan administration, noting that the police closed the case against the CPM and DYFI leaders involved in the Vadakara incident by claiming the accused could not be found, despite the existence of clear evidence. He argued that the communal propaganda in Perambra is a desperate move by the CPM to "ally with any devil" to retain power as their defeat becomes certain.
Ultimately, he characterised these tactics as a delusion of the CPM leadership, suggesting they are attempting to bypass public sentiment against the "dark times" of the current government by fostering religious rivalry and communal polarisation. He concluded by clarifying that the LDF should not forget that the people of Kerala are prepared to sweep this "anti-people government" from power.
