THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan said that CPM will oppose the saffronization of SNDP Yogam and the religious politicization of Muslim League. "CPM is not against SNDP Yogam but against RSS trying to saffronize the SNDP Yogam by using BDJS as a tool. It was announced that the BJP would win a majority in the Lok Sabha elections. If Yogam goes ahead with such things, criticism will continue," Govindan said in a press conference after the party state committee meeting.

Leaders of Yogam founded by Sree Narayana Guru are making personal criticisms against CPM leaders. The position of the Muslim League, which works in harmony with the religious nationalists, will be exposed. Communal forces are getting stronger by blaming each other. RSS is also trying to pit minorities against each other. The left will take up minority protection as the main task.
