THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Singer G Venugopal has trolled the fake cyber campaign of his demise. While talking to the media, he said that he does not intend to die anytime soon and is on a trip with his family in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that he saw the fake news of his death for the second time while traveling and that he had not thought about dying.
Venugopal also shared the screenshot saying, 'Surrenders to death, singer G Venugopal in tears'. It is clear from the screenshot that this campaign came through the handle Mallu Rocks 123. He says in the post that his friends sent him this with the title "If you die every now and then, what will we do.’
Venugopal entered the film playback singing by singing the song 'Ponnin Thingal Pottum Mane' from the 1987 film Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare. Venugopal has won the Kerala Government's best playback singer award in 1990, 1998 and 2004. He has also released an album called Kavyaragam, which pioneered a new style of setting poems to music and singing them.

So, I am fortunate to have sought death for the second time in a year. Now, after trekking and snow climbing in Sonmarg, Gulmarg and Pehalgam in Kashmir, when I returned to Srinagar with my wife, saw this news sent by my friends in my model school group with the title ‘What will we do if you die like this every now and then...’. Please advise whether I should hold a press meet saying that I don’t intend to die anytime soon...
