‘I was mentally upset,’ Vedan on cancelling show following death of technician

Rapper Vedan’s show at Sree Bhadra Durga Devi Temple in Vellalloor Ounnankallu Pulluvillakkam had to cancelled following the death of a technician. The show was organised as part of Atham Mahotsavam. Vedan had immediately informed that he is mentally upset to sing on stage in this situation. He did not say anything more at that time. Vedan later came forward via an Instagram video.

Liju, a technician was electrocuted at my event to be staged in Kilimanoor. In such a situation, it is mentally difficult for me to sing in front of you. I have spoken to the organizers and the relevant authorities about this.

I wanted to say this in front of the people who have been waiting for a long time to see and hear me. I am in a situation where I cannot come in front of you directly and say this due to the crowd and lack of security. I believe that you, my dear ones, will understand this and exercise restraint.

I will come in front of you again in an even bigger stage with even more security. I am more worried than you. I cannot perform as a brother who came to work for my show has died. ‘I believe that you will understand,’ said Vedan.
