'BJP members booed and tried to disrupt meeting': Mayor Arya Rajendran says she does not understand what kind of democracy this is

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran has come with a response to a dispute between the government and the opposition at a special council meeting convened in connection with the Scheduled Caste Fund scam. In a democracy, it is polite to be tolerant of allegations when they are made. Today's council meeting has revealed that the BJP is not used to that common decency. This approach of the BJP, which approaches anything and everything only politically and nullifies the very concept of democracy, cannot be considered to be conducive to the good of the country or the development of the country. The city council meeting was adjourned today after responding to the allegations raised by the BJP members. This ended the move to keep the city council in the shadow of suspicion and continue the allegations without allowing to respond. The mayor said on Facebook that the explanation presented in writing at the council meeting would be made available to the public soon.
