Radio jockey Anjali recently came under fire after a prank call she made to a mehndi artist went viral for its inappropriate content. In the call, Anjali initially inquired about the rates for applying mehndi on hands and legs. However, the conversation quickly took a controversial turn when she asked the rate for applying mehndi on private parts, prompting the artist to disconnect the call. The clip, which was later shared on social media, sparked widespread outrage and criticism.

Following intense backlash and a wave of cyberattacks, Anjali issued a public apology through her social media account, expressing regret over her actions. She admitted that the prank was in poor taste and assured her followers that such behaviour would not be repeated in the future.

Despite the apology, criticism continued to pour in. Several users voiced their disapproval in the comments section of her post, prompting Anjali to respond directly to some of them. When one user remarked, “It’s time to go on air,” Anjali retorted, “Son, I’ve been on air for the past 12 years. I’ll continue until I get bored.” In response to another comment that read, “It takes years to build a reputation and few minutes to ruin it,” Anjali stated, “The quality of a human is not determined by their follower count.”

Amid the controversy, Anjali also revealed her intention to pursue legal action against individuals posting defamatory and inappropriate remarks about her online.
