Restrictions in Guruvayur: No other marriages to take place alongside marriage of Suresh Gopi's daughter

GURUVAYOOR: Despite granting permission to conduct two more marriages in addition to the marriage of Suresh Gopi's daughter, no one approached the police with a request. It was stipulated that the marriage groups should submit an application to the police along with a copy of the Aadhaar card of the participants in the ceremony and Covid test certificate to get a pass. The wedding of Suresh Gopi's daughter will take place in the first of the four wedding mandaps in front of the temple. It was informed that except for the second mandapam, the third and fourth mandapams will be allotted to the applicants.

Considering the security due to Modi's attendance, the board decided to change the timing of all the weddings that were scheduled to take place from 6 am to 9 am. Two marriages were allowed to take place at this time following heavy criticism on social media. Those who booked at this time changed the timings after restrictions were tightened on weddings between 6 am and 9 am. Today, 80 marriages have been booked in the temple. 14 marriages have been given tickets from 7am to 9am with stringent restrictions. But marriage groups shifted these marriages to take place between 5 am and 6 am.
