PT Usha breaks down in front of camera, seeks Pinarayi's help

NEW DELHI: Indian Olympic association president and legend PT Usha broke down in front of the camera worrying about insecurities over her Usha school of athletics in Kozhikode. She has alleged illegal constructions and trespassing inside the institute, all with the tacit approval of the Panangad panchayat.

“I have no poltitical affilition. But since I took office as MP, untoward incidents started happening. Waste is often dumped near my institute. This Friday, many Hitachis were brought in to excavate land near the premise of the institute. The staff who made attempts to stop were tried to run over by the trucks. The issue was once settled by the district collector and the rural SP, but now they have started construction again.” a teary-eyed Usha responded.

"Of the 25 women athletes in the Usha schools, 11 were from north India. It is our responsibility to ensure their safety. I submitted a written complaint to the Chief Minister in this regard," she said.

Usha beseeched the chief minister to settle the case for good. If such a move fails, the veteran athlete doubts that it ll be the end of the institute. It was previous chief minister Oomen Chandy, who allotted 30 acres for the construction of this institute.
