No more travel misery for Malayalis expatriates; Oman Air to introduce 28 weekly services to Kerala

KOZHIKODE: The Gulf country has announced a decision that is sure to bring joy to Malayalis working in the desert country. Oman’s national airline Oman Air has announced 28 weekly services to Kerala airports as part of their reformed summer schedule. In the new plan, Oman Air announced schedules for 40 cities around the world.

Services are scheduled for 12 cities in the Indian subcontinent. Oman Air will operate services to Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Goa, Dhaka, Lucknow and Karachi.

28 weekly services have been announced at three airports in the Kerala sector. Kozhikode - 07, Kochi - 14, Thiruvananthapuram – 07.

Last week, India's budget airline IndiGo announced daily service from Abu Dhabi to Kannur and back. The new service will be very effective for expatriates in the UAE. Daily non-stop service will begin at Kannur Airport from Abu Dhabi and vice versa. The service will start from May 9, 2024. The flight will depart from Kannur at 12:40 am and reach Abu Dhabi at 2:35 am. Similarly, the flight from Abu Dhabi to Kannur will depart at 3:45 am and return to Kannur at 8:40 am.

With the launch of the Kannur-Abu Dhabi service, the number of IndiGo's weekly services to Abu Dhabi from eight airports in India will increase to 56.
