ANTAKYA: Another earthquake shook Turkey and Syria, which are trying to recover from the aftershocks of the earthquake. Three have been confirmed dead in 6.4 magnitude earthquake recorded. More than 200 people were injured.
The epicenter of the earthquake was near the city of Ankara. Tremors were felt in Syria, Egypt and Lebanon. There are reports that buildings collapsed and many are trapped inside.
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit southeastern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6. More than 46,000 people died in both countries. The World Health Organization estimates that at least 26 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance. Following the disaster, Turkey said it had completed the search for people trapped in the rubble in all earthquake-affected areas except Kahramanmaras and Hatay provinces. Authorities said that the task now is to rehabilitate tens of thousands of people who lost their homes.
