NEW DELHI: The polling for assembly elections in the states of Nagaland and Meghalaya has ended. The voting time was from 7 am to 4 pm. As per the latest reports, Meghalaya records 74.32% voter turnout and 81.94% voter turnout for Nagaland.
The final figures after the polling are not out. The results will be declared on March 2. Both states have 60 assembly states and the elections were held in 59 constituencies. The contest got limited to 59 seats as the Congress candidate in Akuluto withdrew. In Meghalaya, the election in one constituency was postponed following the death of a candidate.
