ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani actress received criticism from her fans for wearing an Indian dress for her wedding. It was actress Ushna Shah who courted the controversy. Several people have come out criticizing and mocking the actress by pointing out that she wore an Indian dress for her wedding. Ushna got married to golfer Hamza Amin. The controversy broke out after the wedding pictures and videos of the couple started circulating on social media.
Many people commented on her pictures that Ushna was wearing traditional Indian clothes and jewelry. They also said that of late, several Pakistani girls have been wearing similar Indian dressings for their weddings. They argued that this trend is not right and people in Pakistan should not promote Indian culture.
With a controversy erupting over her wedding dress, Ushna herself came out with a reply to all the criticisms. She replied by sharing a picture of her wedding dress, ring and mehndi.
'To those who have a problem with my dress: You weren't invited, nor did you pay for my shade of red. My Jewelery, my jora: purely Pakistani. My heart, however, half Austrian,' Ushna wrote on her Instagram story.
