Resolution against centre sparks war of words in assembly

kerala-assembly

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MLA C H Kunhambu moved a resolution in the assembly which triggered a verbal spat between the members of the government and the opposition. Kunhambu presented the resolution for MLA V Joy. The opposition smelled foul and said the government not moving the resolution officially points to the unholy nexus that is running strong between the CPM and BJP. MLA A P Anilkumar raised certain questions and reminded the government about the protest made by former CPM chief minister V S Achuthananthan against the UPA government in Delhi. Anil Kumar asked whether the current set of leaders have the nerves to replicate the same. He also said the resolution shielded certain portions that might have put the BJP government in a bad light.

Meanwhile, in a riposte, M B Rajesh said the sudden exasperation of opposition claiming BJP-CPM allegiance is an ideal case of the congress not paying any attention to assembly matters. He said the government has agreed on the resolution and has passed the same to the prime minister. He then criticized the opposition for doing a deceiving act. According to the minister, the congress was hitherto silent over the center neglecting Kerala but the sudden vociferous reaction is nothing but a gimmick for mere political brownies.
