Four collectors including Ernakulam Collector Renuraj transferred, Alappuzha Collector Krishna Teja also in list

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four collectors have been transferred in the state. Ernakulam Collector Renuraj has been transferred as Wayanad Collector. Alappuzha Collector V R Krishna Teja will be the new collector of Thrissur. Thrissur collector Haritha V Kumar will replace Krishna Teja. Wayanad Collector A Geetha has been transferred to Kozhikode.

The most notable change in the transfer is that of Ernakulam Collector. Allegations were raised against the collector in connection with the fire in Brahmapuram plant. It was alleged that the district administration failed to arrange adequate systems to douse the flames. She was also criticized for granting holidays to schools. Umesh N S K from chief secretary's office has been appointed as Ernakulam Collector.

Meantime, Krishna Teja, known as the popular collector of Alappuzha, was also transferred to Thrissur. Krishna Teja's Facebook posts addressing children had garnered a lot of attention.
