THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister M B Rajesh criticized the media on the Brahmapuram issue. He said the media is misleading the people. Some media are smart in creating smoke without fire, he told in the assembly.
The garbage heap did not happen two years ago. The waste plant catching fire is not the first time in the world. This is happening all over the world. However, the minister criticized that the fire is being presented as the first incident in the world. The air quality in Kochi is better than Delhi, he added.
Meantime, opposition leader V D Satheesan asked what the chief minister had done on the Brahmapuram issue. 'Even after smoke is engulfing Kochi, did they entrust any agency to probe. The government faced the issue lightly. The fire has not been fully extinguished,' criticized Satheesan.
