315 new vehicles for state police at a cost of Rs 28 crore; flagged off by Chief Minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan flagged off 315 vehicles purchased for the police. State Police Chief Anil Kant and senior officers attended the function held at Thiruvananthapuram Thycaud police ground.

The vehicles were purchased for Rs 28 crore from the project allocation, police modernization fund, and Kerala Road Safety Fund. Police stations, control rooms, battalion, emergency response support systems, traffic enforcement, and special units are getting the vehicles. Two electric vehicles have also become part of the force. 69 motorcycles were put on the road today for police stations. Mahindra Thar, Bolero, XUV300, Gurkha, and Bolero Neo were the vehicles flagged off by Chief Minister today.
