No diesel for patrolling or money; police force in capital facing crisis ahead of President Murmu’s visit

jj

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police force in the capital is facing fuel shortage. The pump at Thiruvananthapuram SAP camp has run out of diesel. Fuel was provided this morning only for the trial run which was part of the President's visit. It is reported that the supply of diesel has been stopped due to the oil company's arrears.

There is no fuel in the vehicles even for patrolling on the occasion of President Draupadi Murmu's visit. Many vehicles in police stations are not running. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan performed the flag-off ceremony of 315 newly purchased vehicles for the police force in the state. The flag off ceremony was held at Thycaud police ground. The vehicles will be provided to police stations, control rooms and special units. The DGP and other senior police officers were present on the occasion.
