Allegation that Vaikom Viswan intervened to help his son-in-law's company to get contract; Vaikom Viswan sends defamation notice against Tony Chammany

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior CPM leader Vaikom Viswan has sent a legal notice against former Kochi Mayor Tony Chammany over his allegation that Vaikom Viswan had interfered in helping his son-in-law's company get a contract in Brahmapuram.

Viswan has claimed that the allegations are baseless. He also accused Chammany of deliberately spreading false things through the media. Viswan filed the defamation notice through his lawyer V Jayapakash stating that the false campaigns are tarnishing his political career and defaming his personality.
