India retaliates; scales down security outside UK High commission

NEW DELHI: The central government has scaled down the security at the UK High Commission in Delhi. The barricades in front of the High Commission were removed. The protesters in London threw the Indian flag outside the building to protest against the action against Amritpal Singh.

As this went viral on social media, members of the Sikh community gathered and protested in front of the UK High Commission in Delhi. Following this, the central government has installed barricades in front of the UK High Commission in Delhi and ensured strong security.

At the same time, the Indian government had expressed strong protest after video of a Khalistani throwing the Indian national flag was circulated. India has asked the British authorities to ensure adequate security at the Indian High Commission in London.
