Govt officer arrested by Vigilance for asking bribe via Google Pay

ERNAKULAM: Vigilance has arrested an assistant agriculture officer for accepting bribe. The incident happened at Puthanvelikkara, Ernakulam. Prajil is the accused.

A team led by Ernakulam Vigilance DYSP caught him while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from Biju, a resident of Puthanvelikkara. Last week, Prajil asked for payment through Google Pay to speed up land conversion. After informing that he would pay the money directly, Biju called the Vigilance and arrived with the money.
