Actress assault case: Pulsar Suni seeks bail in supreme court

NEW DELHI: Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the actress assault case, approached the Supreme Court again seeking bail. It was after the High Court denied his bail that Pulsar Suni approached the Supreme Court for the second time. Suni says in his plea that the trial in the case is unlikely to be completed soon.

The petition points out that he has been in jail as an under-trial prisoner for more than six years and the trial is dragging on endlessly as actor Dileep is an accused. Suni was arrested on February 23, 2017 in the case. The Supreme Court had earlier allowed Pulsar Suni to approach the court for bail if the trial was not completed on time.
