Unni Mukundan to contest as BJP candidate in Lok Sabha elections, actors responds to rumours

There have been rumours that actor Unni Mukundan will contest as BJP candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Now the actor himself has responded this through a Facebook post. He said that the news is fake and he does not take politics for granted.

“Hello, Just got to know about the news regarding me joining politics. It’s fake. I’m working on my film, Gandharva Jr. It’s a long schedule. I’ll keep you posted. Also, extending my humble request to the media houses to kindly check the authenticity of such informations before airing them. It’s unfair that I have to clear things over and over again. I have high regards for the politicians and politics alike because of their direct impact o the society. I don’t take politics for granted.”, he wrote.

Unni Mukundan’s last film ‘Mallikapuram’ was a success and had entered the 100-crore club. His next film ‘Gandharva Jr’ is directed by debutant Vishnu Aravind. The film is produced by JM Infotainment and Little Big Films.
