THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government will not file a review plea against the order of the Kerala High Court to translocate Arikompan, the rogue tusker, to Parambikulam. The minister said the government is bound to implement the court order and disagrees releasing the elephant to another forest.

‘The case will be considered again on April 24th. If the forest department does not complete the process in the meantime, it is likely to become an offense for violating the court order. Our government officials cannot take such a risk. The forest department is presently in such a crisis. In the meanwhile, we will be happy if we get any other instructions from the court,’ the minister told the media.

The minister also said that there will be no change in the court verdict due to the people's protest. He welcomed the action of the Janakeeya Samara Samithi to approach the court against the translocation of Arikompan.
