NEW DELHI: BJP leader Prakash Javadekar MP said that the BJP will make significant gains in Kerala in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"I'm sure that the BJP will win at least five seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party's vote share in the state has been increasing. Don't be surprised if more leaders from Congress switch to the BJP," Javadekar said.
"Ahead of the last parliamentary elections, the people of Kerala thought that Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister. They thought that Modi was a one-time wonder. However, now everyone knows that Narendra Modi will continue as the Prime Minister even after the upcoming elections. Modi is treating states impartially. The people of Kerala will also understand his work beyond caste-religion-political interests. This will turn things favourably for the BJP in the upcoming elections," he said.
Prakash Javadekar also said that BJP activists in the state are facing challenges from the CPM.
"Kerala is a state where hundreds of BJP activists lost their lives. The party will definitely will at least five seats next year. Crime, corruption and smuggling have become the hallmark of the current state government. The CPM will soon face heavy defeat in the state," he added.
