BIDAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning reached Humnabad in the Bidar district of Karnataka ahead of the Karnataka assembly elections. Modi talked not only about winning the May 10 elections but also about taking Karnataka to the top of the country.
Speaking at Humnabad, Modi responded to the controversy surrounding the Congress president's 'poisonous snake' remark. Modi said that the Congress abused him 91 times in different ways.
"Congress has started abusing me again. Someone has made a list of the names they called me. Every time they abuse me, they are the ones who break down. Congress abused me 91 times. Let them abuse me, I will keep on working for the people of Karnataka," Modi said.
"The upcoming elections in Karnataka is not just about winning, but to make Karnataka the No.1 state in the country. Complete development will be possible only when all parts of the state develop. Hence, a double-engine government is important for Karnataka," he said.
