tamil-nadu

CHENNAI: In a reshuffle of Tamil Nadu cabinet, Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan was removed from his post and was given the post of IT minister instead. Instead of Thiaga Rajan, Industry Minister Thangam Thennarasu has been given finance, planning, human resources management portfolios.

Audio recordings of Palanivel talking about the corruption of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son Udayanidhi and son-in-law V Sabareesan were released recently. The the audio recordings were released by Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai. Palanivel removal from the post of finance minister soon followed. But Palanivel Thiagarajan's argument was that these voice recordings are fake.

SM Nasar, who was the Minister of Milk and Dairy Development, was removed from the cabinet yesterday. TRB Raja was then sworn in as the new minister instead. Changes have been made in five departments including these. A few months ago, criticism was leveled against SM Nasar in the incident of stone pelting on a party worker. Stalin's cabinet is being reorganized for the second time after assuming power in 2021.
