THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to receive heavy rainfall from today to Friday. Rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph are likely over isolated places in Kerala.

Isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Kannur districts are likely to receive rainfall in coming hours. A yellow alert has been issued in Idukki today due to the possibility of heavy rain. IMD also said that isolated places in Pathanamthitta are likely to receive light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph.
