JCB falls into sea during breakwater construction in Kozhikode, driver injured

KOZHIKODE: A JCB overturned and fell into the sea during the construction of a breakwater at Kothi Estuary. The JCB overturned into the Kothi estuary where the Kallayi River joins the sea. The JCB operator was injured and admitted to the hospital. As per reports, the injury is not serious.

The incident took place around 10.20 am today. The video footage taken by the witness of the incident has been released. In the video, someone can be heard shouting 'JCB fell into the sea' and asking people for help.

Police and fire brigade have reached the spot for rescue operations.
