Trembling sounds beneath earth in Erumeli; amidst fear, geology team reaches location

KANJIRAPALLY: A trembling sound was heard from beneath the ground in places under Kanjirapally and Erumeli panchayat. The first sound was heard at 4 am in the morning, say locals. After some idleness, the quavering sound repeated from below the ground sending shrills to the locals.

The region experienced the same shaking sound last Monday. The repeat of this incident has elicited fear among many. The Kadavanal Kadavu bridge and the regions adjacent to it experienced more such sounds. The people in the area felt a freezing sensation in their legs moments after the sounds. As fear loomed, the geology department reached the spot on Tuesday to study the details and took many statements from locals. However, the sound has repeated again and it is concerning nevertheless.
