NEW DELHI: Adipurush starring Prabhas as Sri Rama and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana is a film that has been in the news even before its release. The film directed by Om Raut was released today. The film received a mixed response from the audience. Now news is coming out that an organization called Hindu Sena has filed a Public Interest Litigation against the film in the Delhi High Court. The petition says that the film mocks Lord Rama, Ramayana and culture.
VFX company Trishul Media Entertainment had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court on Thursday seeking to stop the film's release, but the court refused to stay the release. It was said in the petition that no credit for the film was given.
Ahead of the film's release, the director had announced that a seat would be set aside for Hanuman in all theatres. However, on the day of the release, news surfaced that a man who tried to sit on the seat reserved for Hanuman was beaten up.
