THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A tragic incident occurred at Thampanoor KSRTC terminal where a young man, Binu Kumar, a native of Nalanchira committed suicide. It is believed that he committed suicide due to depression stemming from his inability to start a business in the rented shop.

Binu had acquired a shop on the ground floor of Thampanoor bus terminal with the intention of opening a bakery. However, due to a severe financial crisis, he couldn't afford to pay the rent to KTDFC, the entity that owned the room. Consequently, he was unable to open the shop, which deeply distressed him. Members of the trade committee speculate that this distress led him to take such a tragic step.

On the day of the incident, the shutters of the shop were half open and upon noticing the lights inside the room, the security personnel went to investigate. It was then that they discovered Binu's lifeless body, having hanged himself. The Thampanoor police were immediately notified and arrived at the scene to take further action.
