13-year-old boy hangs himself after mother refused to give him TV remote

KAYAMKULAM: A 13-year-old- boy committed suicide after his mother refused to give him the remote control of the television. Adithyan, the son of Kandalloor native Thankachan and Sindhu, was found hanging in the bedroom yesterday morning.

Adithyan had locked himself in his room on Friday evening after his mother refused to give him the remote control to switch on the television. Police said that the boy hanged himself from the window of the bedroom shortly after some time. Adithyan was a Class 7 student of NRPM School. He has one brother-Ashwin.
