BENGALURU: A woman BJP worker was arrested on Friday for criticizing CM Siddaramaiah on Twitter. Shakuntala Nataraj was arrested by Karnataka police for responding to the now-flaring Udupi nude filming case. Some days back in Udupi, three girl students filmed a topless video of their friends and shared it with a few other boys in class. A huge uproar followed after it was learned that the three students who filmed the video were Muslims and the boys were also from the same community. The victims meanwhile were Hindu girls.BJP accused the sleight hand of PFI behind the crime.
Shakuntala in a tweet questioned the silence from Congress leadership and asked if they would remain idle if the victim was someone from their family. This comment courted controversy and the High Ground police station in Bengaluru received a complaint on the tweet. Earlier, the college authority dismissed the filming issue as a 'prank' and the police also waited for three good days before going for an FIR.
