Naushad, who was 'buried' by his wife, is here alive

naushad

KOODAL(KONNI): Saithoor Bivi and Ashraf were shocked when they arrived at Koodal station in Pathanamthitta. Their son Naushad, who was killed and buried by his wife, was alive in front of their eyes! The parents hugged their son and burst into tears. Naushad with eyes filled with tears of joy. A big twist in the story of Naushad, who went missing a year and a half ago and whose 'dead body' the police were digging for!

Naushad (34) was found at Thommankuthu near Thodupuzha yesterday afternoon. He was brought to Koodal station by 6 pm. He was working in Baby Varghese's (Santosh) field at Kuzhimattam, an outback of Thommankuthu, unaware of the commotions going on in his place. Naushad did not even have a mobile phone.

The turning point was the information received by Jaimon, a resident of Thommankuthu, a senior civil police officer in the squad of Thodupuzha DySP. Jaimon's relative Rajesh, who runs a shop at Thommankuthu intersection, passed on information that a person visiting his shop looks like Naushad. He was found during further investigation.

Afsana (25) was summoned and interrogated the other day following the information received by Koodal SI Shemimol that there was a mystery in the case of Naushad's disappearance. Afsana testified that Naushad used to brutally beat her and their kid in a drunken state and she killed and buried him with the help of someone to avoid harassment. She was taken into custody afterward.

Afsana changed her statement multiple times that the body was hidden in the church cemetery, buried in the rented house and thrown in the river. Although she was assessed to be mentally ill, the police still searched inside the house and surrounding areas. Meanwhile, Afsana's arrest was recorded and remanded. Naushad was found while the preparation for further investigation to find the body was going on.

After taking Naushad's statement and medical examination, he was produced at the magistrate's residence at 7:30 pm and released with his parents. Naushad has been missing since November 1, 2021, while he was living on rent near Adoor Paruthipara Church with his wife.

"Afsana and some male friends used to brutally beat me up in the rented house. I left the place because I was afraid of my wife. I did not contact my family because I left after a fight. I have no complaint against Afsana and no interest in staying in my native place. Both my children should be released to my custody.'

Rajesh gave the information; Jaimon tracked

As soon as Rajesh informed civil police officer Jaimon about the young man coming to his shop in Thommankuth and his place of work, he went to investigate. Naushad was working in Baby Varghese's field when he reached Kuzhumattam. Naushad told the police that he was very happy there for the past one and a half years.
