THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is no tiff with the Nair Service Society (NSS), said CPM state secretary M V Govindan. He responded that the CPM is not angry with anyone and only criticizes the policy taken at that time.
Govindan said seeing community organizations is natural. He added that they have no faith in NSS' equidistant stance.
He said that even if it is a progressive party, non-progressives also have votes. As a candidate can see anyone, there is nothing wrong with that. There is no point in saying that will give bounties instead of votes, what is needed is votes. Govindan's response was to a question on LDF candidate Jaick C Thomas calling on NSS General Secretary Sukumaran Nair.
Equidistant stand is said in every election. However, Govindan also stated that there is no equidistant in elections. M V Govindan refused to respond on the monthly payment controversy and with that ended the press meet.
Meantime, G Sukumaran Nair said the Ganesha remark will not be voiced in the Puthupally elections. The reaction came after the visit of LDF candidate Jaick Thomas.
