19 acres of additional land in PV Anwar's possession; Land Board sends notice to Anwar and his family members

KOZHIKODE: Land Board found that PV Anwar MLA possesses 19 acres of additional land and sent a notice to Anwar and his family members. An explanation should be given within a week regarding the additional land. Land Board also stated that the proceedings are being delayed as PV Anwar has not produced the necessary documents.

RTI Association has handed over more evidence to the Land Board in this regard alleging that Anwar and his family are occupying excess land in violation of the Land Reforms Act. The documents of 14.37 acres of land were handed over. Earlier, they had handed over the documents of 12.46 acres of surplus land, but Anwar's lawyer rejected the claim that all this was surplus land and informed that only the land as per the exemptions in the Land Reforms Act is being held. Following this, the Land Board asked to produce all the evidence by August 10.
