Nita Ambani steps down from Reliance Board

MUMBAI: Nita Ambani steps down from Reliance Board. She will continue to be the Chairperson of Reliance Foundation. This was informed by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani and Anand Ambani were appointed as board directors. Their appointment will be effective after the approval of the shareholders, RL said in a statement.

The explanation is that Nita Ambani resigned from the position of director to lead and improve Reliance Foundation further. Nita will attend every board meeting as a permanent invitee even though she has stepped down as director.

Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani and Anand Ambani have been leading RIL's core businesses retail, digital services, energy and materials businesses for the past few years. They also serve on the boards of major subsidiaries of RIL.
