THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The crime branch will question former DIG Surendran's wife Bindulekha in the fake antiquities scam case. The notice has directed her to appear on Friday. The information received is that steps for the arrest will have to be taken.

This move is based on the statement that Monson had made money transactions at Surendran's house. It was found that Surendran and his family were in close contact with Monson and had made money transactions. The former DIG was included in the accused list in the beginning of the investigation. Bindulekha was also added to the accused list later. It is indicated that Bindulekha is taking steps for an anticipatory bail. The crime branch is likely to question Santhosh, the sculptor to whom the antiquities were handed over by Monson.
