Cockroach found in food served to passenger on Thiruvananthapuram - Kasaragod Vande Bharat; passenger shares ordeal on Facebook

KOCHI: It has been alleged that a cockroach was found in the breakfast served on the Vande Bharat Express from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod. It was a passenger who boarded the train from Ernakulam who got the cockroach in the food served on the train yesterday morning. The cockroach was found in the egg curry served with breakfast.

It was Kozhikode native Murali Menon, who shared his experience on the Vande Bharat train through a Facebook post. In his Facebook post, Murali stated that he saw a dead cockroach on top of the egg curry when he opened the package to eat breakfast. He then immediately reported the incident to the catering department.

'This is the non-veg breakfast served on the Vande Bharat train. It was literally non-veg,' he wrote as he shared the pictures of the egg curry on his Facebook page. The passenger has decided to file a complaint in the Consumer Court regarding the incident.

Several passengers have previously complained about the food served on the Vande Bharat train. Last year, a person had filed a complaint alleging that he had found a worm in the food served to him on the train.
