BHOPAL: BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti has expressed displeasure over not being invited to the BJP's mega yatra in Madhya Pradesh. Uma Bharti clarified that she does not want to be a 'poster girl'. She said this in an interview with a national media.
'I am still younger than Modi. I should work for another 15-20 years. An invitation could have been sent to me too. They fear that if I am there, the public's full attention will be on me. If Jyotiraditya Scindia helped them to form the government, I also helped them to form the majority government' - said Uma Bharti.
BJP's 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' is held in the first week of September. BJP national president JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders will flag off the yatra, starting from five locations in the state. The pre-election 'Jan Aashirvad Yatra' will travel through Vindhya, Mahakaushal, Malwa, Gwalior-Champal and Bundelkhand regions and end in Bhopal.
