Shobha Surendran opens up: 'Everything was revealed when I was humiliated', interview with Kerala Kaumudi

ALAPPUZHA: In an interview with Kerala Kaumudi, Shobha Surendran stated that she had revealed EP Jayarajan's attempts to join the BJP when allegations were made against her and how he used Dallal Nandakumar to insult her.

If you release the information that other party members have discussed joining the BJP, will others planning to join in the future still come forward?

I discussed with nine prominent leaders of Kerala, including E P Jayarajan. The information about the other eight people has not been disclosed, demonstrating my commitment to ethical politics. I decided to reveal this information because EP Jayarajan and Dallal Nandakumar conspired against me, causing significant humiliation. There were suspicions of EP Jayarajan's involvement in this matter, and it has now been exposed.

Did you know that EP Jayarajan met with Javadekar?

EP Jayarajan did not inform me about his meeting with Javadekar. I had been in politics long before Javadekar assumed charge in Kerala. I am not familiar with this matter.

EP responds that he has not met Shobha Surendran for discussions. It is also claimed that the last time he saw you was at Oommen Chandy's funeral?

He was indeed seen at Oommen Chandy's house. EP Jayarajan was first seen at Dallal Nandakumar's house and later he met both me and Dallal Nandakumar at a hotel in Delhi. However, he received a phone call from Kerala during our third meeting, which made him apprehensive and he returned. He was later encountered during Govindan Master's procession in Thrissur and then at Ram Nilayam. I wasn't interested in meeting him; I only met him because Dallal insisted so much. Nandakumar indicated that Jayarajan was interested in joining the BJP. If Jayarajan denies this, I will stand firm on my statement.

Does anyone in the party not want you to win in Alappuzha?

K C Venugopal does not want me to win. Nandakumar aided K C in the solar case. EP Jayarajan also intervened.
