KOLLAM: A youth was stabbed by his friend after an argument over the Onam bumper lottery ticket. Devadas (42), a native of Thevalakkara, died. The accused Ajith has been taken into police custody.

Devadas had taken the Onam bumper ticket but it was handed over to Ajith for safekeeping. When the ticket was asked back before the draw time, there was a verbal dispute between the two. Following the argument the accused stabbed Devadas and he bled to death. The police indicate that both of them were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
