THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said that it will be possible to make the world understand about Kerala through the Keraleeyam program and that it will be an unprecedented festival in the history of the state. He was inaugurating the Keraleeyam Organisation Committee office organized by the state government in Thiruvananthapuram from November 1 to 7 and launching the website and logo.
"The achievements and culture of Kerala as a state will be displayed before the world. Kerala's secular tradition, religious friendship, and progressive movements will be introduced to the world. The main theme will be the protection of forests and water," he said.
Minister V Sivankutty, Ministers GR Anil, Antony Raju, V.K. Prasanth MLA, Mayor Arya Rajendran and Chief Secretary V Venu, General Convener of Kerala spoke.
Various programs related to Kerala will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from Kowdiar to East Fort. Seminars, exhibitions, cultural programs, film fairs, book fairs, flower fairs, food fairs, etc. will be held. There will be a special light and sound show that will illustrate the history and present of Kerala. The Secretariat building has been converted into a special screen for the show.
