We should recognize advantages of artificial intelligence and utilize it: Chief Minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that people should recognize the advantages of artificial intelligence and use it in a beneficial way for progress. The Chief Minister added that the next generation should be enabled to stay away from the bad sides of artificial intelligence.

"Experts say that artificial intelligence will play a major role in the future. We should enable the coming generations to stay away from the bad sides of artificial intelligence. The study and application of advanced technology should be implemented in schools with the view of introducing the good ones and rejecting the harmful ones," the CM said.

"Children are not learning how artificial intelligence works. They learn basic coding for AI. They also understand various aspects of technology. In this age of advanced technology, it is not enough to provide learning facilities to children. We should impart them the knowledge to use it with discernment," he said.
